Firefighters had to come to the rescue after an elderly man fell into an empty pond in San Isidro. The 73-year-old man fell from a height of about 12ft and suffered a moderate back trauma. The accident happened at about 8pm in calle Pilar Cocina and brought medics, the police and Civil Guard to the scene. SUC staff attended to him before he was transferred to hospital.
