The need to conserve both our environmental and maritime resources will merge with music during the new ARN Blue & Green to be held in Playa de las Americas on August 25th. The event will gather, on stage, the Canarian musicians Rosana, El Vega and Morirán Todos !, the Catalans of Muchachito and the Russians of Oligarkh, who will travel to Tenerife from Saint Petersburg. “A luxury line-up that will give content to the production of this Clean and Sustainable Concert, in line with a trend that prevails in the great summer festivals in the world,” a spokesman explained. ARN Blue & Green will take place the Parking Arenas Blancas in Playa de las Américas, starting at 7pm, with free admission. Organised by Arona council and with the sponsorship of the Government of the Canary Islands, images related to the marine life of the Arona coast and its resources will be shown throughout the environmental concert, among other actions in favour of sustainability. This initiative was born with the intention of revitalising the historical image of Arona as the nerve centre of the end of summer with major musical events as they have marked, over time, milestones such as Son Latinos, Aguaviva and multitudinous concerts of great international stars such as Marc Anthony , Jennifer Lopez, Juan Luis Guerra and Ricky Martin. The musical proposal also has the sponsorship of Tenerife Cabildo (specifically through its brand, Tenerife + Sostenible) and the collaboration of Arona Son Atlántico Festival. This municipality of the south of Tenerife, which according to its forecasts will reach 100,000 inhabitants by the end of 2018 and which receives more than a million tourists a year, is carrying out actions in favour of the conservation of the environment and natural resources. In this way, it works to fulfill the objectives of the Declaration of Arona, signed at the International Conference held in June 2017 in this municipality. ARN Blue & Green complies with recommendations such as the preservation of the natural and cultural heritage or the promotion of the efficient use of resources and the promotion of responsible consumption. The Blue & Green RNA will include different actions in order to meet the objectives of promoting sustainability and conservation of the environment. In this way, reusable cups will be provided to the attendees, thanks to the collaboration of the Island Council of Tenerife through its Tenerife + Sustainable brand (https://ift.tt/2vNBGs4), at the refundable price of a euro when returned. There will also be a special manage-ment of the waste generated in the concert.
