Guia de Isora opens 20th national art competition

Guia de Isora has opened entries for its 20th National Art Award. The contest will reward the modalities of painting and sculpture with an amount of 1,200 euros. The works can be submitted until August 31st. In September, they will be exhibited in the framework of the Patron Saint Festivities. Those wishing to enter the painting section can submit two pieces of work but they must be original and unpublished. The style technique is free. In the sculpture mode, only one piece per person can be entered. As in previous editions, the winning works plus others selected by a jury will form an exhibition at the Cultural Centre of Guía de Isora as part of the patron saint festivities throughout the month of September. The award for both categories is 1,200 euros and the bases can be consulted on the notice board of the corporation, on the municipal website and in the leaflets distributed by all municipalities and councils of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands. The works must be submitted to the Department of Culture and Citizen Participation of the Isorano City Council (C / La Vera, nº5, Guía de Isora, CP.38680) complying with the requirements explained in the bases for each modality, until August 31.
